As I was doing research on Edvard Munch, I came across this post that dug deeper in The Scream. https://qz.com/1577796/the-figure-in-edvard-munchs-the-scream-isnt-actually-screaming/ I found it useful in understanding more about the art work and how it inspired me to do my painting the way I did.
One of the reasons I named the painting Screaming Ghost, is many of Edvard's self portrait paintings seemed ghostly. Also, the painting The Scream also looked kind of like a ghost.
See what I mean? Now if you look closely again at my painting, you'll see how Munch's face was painted to seem ghostly. Hopefully that inside look helps explain a little into my thought process of deciding certain textures, colors, or hues inside my work.
